# getDotPath

Creates and returns the dot path of an issue if possible.

```ts
const dotPath = v.getDotPath<TSchema>(issue);
```

## Parameters

- `issue` `InferIssue<TSchema>`

## Returns

- `dotPath` `IssueDotPath<TSchema> | null`
